Mrs. Dietz

Hello My Name Is...

Mrs. Dietz

I am passionate about Education and would consider myself a lifelong learner.  For those of  you who I haven't met, a little introduction. My name is JoAnna Dietz.  I am a native Californian, but moved to Colorado to be closer to family and all of the beautiful scenery. I have been part of the Larkspur Elementary Community and Douglas County School District for ten years now and adore teaching.

I have a Masters Degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. I have served as a digital educator in our district, and have been part of many Educational Organizations. I have volunteered for over 25 years as a youth leader, and have worked with children in several different capacities. This is my thirteenth wonderful year teaching. I am married to my handsome and compassionate husband, Timothy, and have two strong teenagers, Caleb, age 16, and one beautiful girl, Madison Zoey, age 14.

I enjoy spending time outdoors and hiking the stunning peaks which surround Colorado, with my husband, and spending time with my children. Other hobbies I enjoy include cooking, gardening, singing, cutting hair, traveling, volunteering at church, and of course learning!

We enjoy a diverse array of learning in my class. I enjoy getting to know each student and what makes him/her tick. It is my great joy to find what each child is passionate about, and help them discover how to unlock the door of learning for themselves.
