Dear LES Families,
I hope that everyone is enjoying a beautiful summer with the ones they love. We are so blessed to live in the most beautiful state and I hope everyone has had a chance to enjoy time outside. I can't believe that we have just a few short weeks before it is time to head back for the 2017-2018 school year! I can honestly say that I am super excited to see our teachers and students as it is such a shame to have these hallways so quiet and empty.
Who is teaching what at LES?
Kindergarten- Kristin Caldwell will be teaching kindergarten this year. We have a pretty small group of kindergarten students and will have a combined classroom. All core academics will be taught in the morning and half day students will be dismissed at 12:00. Full day will continue their day with Sci/SS/Discovery/Specials and enrichment groups and be dismissed at 4:00.
**Carole Arnesen- kindergarten Educational Assistant/volunteer coordinator
First Grade- Risa Dann will be teaching first grade this year.
First and Second grade combo- Heidi Geiger will be teaching the primary combo class this year.
Second Grade- Kelly Parsons will be teaching second grade this year.

Third Grade- Barb Eckert will be teaching third grade this year.
Third and Fourth grade combo- Cindy Lunsford will be teaching the prime-mediate combo class this year.
Fourth Grade- Terri Mole will be teaching fourth grade this year.

Fifth Grade- Jena Stucky will be teaching 5th grade this year.
Fifth and Sixth grade combo- Laura Sires will be teaching one of the intermediate combo classes this year.

*First Day of School August 10th (please be on the look out for first day reminders as we get closer to our start date!)
*August 23rd, 4:30-6:30 Come join us for our Curriculum Night. This is in place of our Back to School Night. Teachers will go over our new curriculum and discuss student expectations and events throughout the school year.
Did you know that we have preschool and before and after care? Currently we have 11 students signed up for our preschool program! Our very own Liz Grayson will be running the preschool program with Amelia as her assistant teacher.
Our before and after care program only has 5 students signed up so far.
If you've ever been stuck at work, delayed in traffic, or simply running late and in need of some extra time before picking your kids up for school, then CHAMPIONS after school care it a great option for you! Please enjoy your last few weeks of summer break! Go swimming, hiking, read a good book or just simply have fun! I am excited to hear all the wonderful summer adventures, but until then... enjoy!
