2018 Apple Awards Nomination
The Apple Awards are an important tradition for Douglas County School District and wouldn't be possible without the engagement of our community. The Foundation for Douglas County Schools thanks you for making the time to nominate and celebrate an educator, support staff member or administrator that has made a difference for you. *We are sad to see Mrs. Lunsford go, however we are extremely happy for her as she begins her new adventure in Texas. She has been such a huge part of our LES community and will truly be missed. The 4th grade position is currently posted and if you know any teachers who are interested in working in the best elementary school in DCSD please let them know we are hiring.
*We are also looking for a part time EA. This position is for Tuesday and Wednesday and will be working with 3rd and 4th grade.
We are excited to announce:
EpiPens Distributed to Schools
DCSD, like many school districts across the country, is participating in the Mylan EpiPen4Schools Program. This is designed to supply schools with emergency medicine that can be administered by specially trained staff for first time life threatening allergic reactions. Beginning in December, every school in Douglas County will be supplied with this emergency medicine. Please contact your School Nurse Consultant for more information.

*Incoming Kindergarten Tour: Do you know of any incoming Kindergarten students? We are conducting tours all day on 12/20
