Funding in DCSD
Douglas County School District is home to 68,000 students who attend 89 public schools. Covering 850 total square miles, our district is the third largest in Colorado. As we approach our 60th anniversary, there are many funding challenges and needs that must be addressed to ensure that each and every one of our students has access to the best possible public education. PTO General Meeting rescheduled to 3/26/18
The next PTO General Meeting has been rescheduled to Monday, 3/26/18, at 4:30 pm at LES. Please come, hear updates from the PTO and our committees, get updated financial information about the PTO and have a chance to speak in the open forum about topics on your mind related to PTO or our fundraisers. We try to keep the meetings to less than 2 hours and babysitting will be provided in the gym so please try to come! We'd love to see you there!

DCSD is seeking volunteers for its Board of Education Committees.
The District Accountability Committee (DAC) is now accepting applications to fill six (6) vacancies currently open or opening on June 30, 2018. The DAC is looking for parents with child(ren) currently attending DCSD neighborhood school(s), charter parents with a child(ren) attending a DCSD charter school, and community members involved in business and community activities within the School District's boundaries. Please reference this link for additional information and to complete the DCSD DAC online application.
The Fiscal Oversight Committee is currently accepting applications for representatives from all areas in the District. If you reside within the Douglas County School District and are interested in serving on this important committee, please complete and submit an application. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis or until all positions are filled.
The Long Range Planning Committee is currently accepting applications for members. This citizen-based group keeps close track of new housing developments and student enrollment trends in order to provide the Douglas County School District Board of Education with feedback regarding District facility and capacity needs.
