Good evening Bobcat families!

 

Thank you so much for all your love and support. We are so blessed to be part of such an amazing community and my heart is full every day that I come to work. I want to thank  you for trusting us with your precious children and I go to bed knowing that everyone at Larkspur Elementary puts their heart and soul into what they do. We have amazing teachers, staff, PTO and community. We are who we are because we work together as a team and for that I am so grateful. 

 

On April 30th DC Feeders came together to talk about the fiscal crisis our schools are facing. As you are aware, we have the most amazing PTO and community that raise thousands of dollars to help offset the costs we are lacking due to not passing a mill levy and bond since 2006. We are one of the lowest funded states in the nation and prices keep going up. Please reach out if you want to learn more about the crisis we are facing on a daily basis. WOW! Who attended the BOOT? 

We are beyond grateful for all the hard work everyone put into the Boot. Your dedication to our school does not go unnoticed. The countless amount of volunteer hours you put in and money you donated goes back to our amazing kids. Not only is it a great party, but the cause is so much more than that!! Thank you so much for your time and dedication to our little school in the woods!

 

TRANSPORTATION

If you are interested in bringing the Buster the Bus safety training program to your school next year, please contact Shannon Vieira at svieira@dcsdk12.org.  We are compiling a list of those schools that are interested, and will contact you closer to the start of the year to work with you on scheduling this event at your school.  To see what Buster the Bus is all about you can watch this video https://youtu.be/Z7Aulvx5FZs.

 

News from the main office

This is a friendly reminder that all parents are REQUIRED to park and walk their students in when their student is late.

Students will be checked into Champions at 4:20 if they are not picked up and you will be responsible for the charge.
If you need to speak with your child's teacher in the morning or the afternoon, please make an appointment in advance.  We are requesting you not "drop in" between now and then end of the year as teachers are busy preparing the day for their 20+ kids. 

Please sign in and out of the office when you come into the school. This is district policy and a safety concern as I need to know who is in and out of the building in case of an emergency.
