I can't believe this is my second to last blog of the 2017-2018 school year. It truly brings tears to my eyes as I sit here and reflect on the past 10 months. We are so blessed to have 256 amazing students that give us more than we could possibly give them. You all have done an incredible job raising such polite and kind children and it makes our job so much easier! I want to thank you for trusting us with your most precious children and we are all honored to be part of the Larkspur community!
I want to shout out to all my staff! Larkspur has the most amazing teachers and staff. These people work harder than anyone I know for one thing, your children. Over the past three years I have seen a change in climate and culture where teachers are now collaborating, analyzing data to drive daily instruction, problem solving and planning together. They are often found working on perfecting their craft of teaching on a daily basis. I love seeing and feeling the passion that ooze from our teacher's rooms where students are engaged, asking questions and solving real world problems. Our amazing Educational Assistants are flexible and talented. They have this drive and dedication that is evident every single day and I guarantee we could not do what we do without them. Our office staff is the center of it all, taking calls, answering questions, healing wounds and comforting sick children. In the past three years, they have worked tirelessly in getting our little school up to compliance with district and state standards. They always greet parents with a smile and work to be the best they can be for everyone. Our custodial and kitchen staff blow me away. They both have the highest ratings in the district! It is evident that they care about what they do and excel to be better everyday! I am so grateful to have such an amazing team that are truly dedicated to ensuring your children receive the best education possible!
It is always hard to say goodbye, but we are truly blessed to have been able to work with these amazing individuals. We wish them luck as they venture on to bigger and brighter things!

Teacher placements are not yet determined due to not having finalized numbers. As many of you know we can either loose or gain students over the summer which causes a significant challenge in placing teachers in certain positions this time of year. We are currently sitting at 240 students enrolled for the 2018-2019 school year and are looking at the following classes.
Half Day Kindergarten
Please stay tuned as I will communicate which teacher is attached to which class over the summer months. I appreciate your patience and understanding in this process.
