Wednesday, August 8th - Meet Your Teacher

We believe that it is essential for students to have the opportunity to meet their teacher and visit their classroom prior to the first day of school.  Families are invited to our annual Meet and Greet on Wednesday, August 8, and drop off school supplies.

Help me welcome our new kindergarten teacher!

Help me welcome our new half day kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Rebecca Odle.

Rebecca is dedicated to providing a student-centered environment that is safe and collaborative, where each of her students are supported in becoming creative, genuine, passionate pursuers of their dreams and are excited about lifelong learning. She works to foster this environment through clear expectations of classroom norms that they establish together, a positive class culture, utilizing ever-changing 21st century technology and career skills, and taking the time to know and value each of her students as individuals. Rebecca is dedicated to give 100% effort and dedication to her students and classroom environment as well as the whole school culture in order to achieve these goals.

Martha Anastasov will be covering for Mrs. Katona while she is healing from her hip surgery. During this time she will be teaching music and working in the office as our Health Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator. We wish Mrs. Katona speedy recovery and are excited to have Ms. Martha with us again this year.

Carpool Reminders:

The beginning of the school year can be a bit crazy until we all get the hang of car pool. Please be patient and follow the following guidelines to ensure we are running a safe and efficient car line.

AM Car Pool- 8:50-9:05

  • One line of cars only, Please DO NOT pass cars and stay in line during the entire car pool process.

  • Let your students out of the car curb side between the stop sign and the red school house. The car behind the red school house, please wait and pull up to the front of the line to start the next group of cars to let their students out.

  • Please NO CELL Phones in the car line.

PM Car Pool- 4:00-4:15

  • Two lines of cars

  • Please put your name tag in your window so we can call your student's name

  • Please watch and listen as students will be crossing through cars

  • Please NO CELL Phones in the car line

  • Pease YIELD to the busses going into the bus loop

If you are not using the car line, please park in a parking space and use the crosswalk. All students will line up by grade level and walk into the building as a class. If you are planning on parking on Silver heels, please do no block our driveways, keep in mind buses have a large turning radius and need space. Please be mindful of our buses as they carry our students and we want to ensure we are all being safe.

Please continue to have a wonderful and safe summer! We are looking forward to seeing everyone on August 8th from 2:00-4:00 at our annual Meet and Greet!

Jen Oldham,

Principal
