K-6 STUDENT ROSTER VERIFICATION DAYS
We would like to make you aware of a very important date coming up. On September 25, 2018 the Colorado Department of Education will take a snapshot of our Pupil Count. The Pupil Count is what determines the amount of funding that our school receives from the state, essentially the funding to run our school. It is very important to our school, and our students, to have all of our students in attendance on this important day. We know illness or other unforeseen circumstances arise, but we ask that outside of those circumstances that your student please be in attendance on September 25, 2018. Thank you so much for your assistance in helping our school receive the maximum amount of funding.
Thank you for supporting the Fonda family! We are so grateful for each and every single one of you!
PTO General Meetings for 2018/19 will be held in the LES library at 4:30 pm. Childcare is provided in the gym. Please plan to attend and see what we’re up to! Hope to see you there!
RGF Meeting, Tuesday 4/30/19
Wednesday September 12th, we will be holding our first SAC meeting. What is SAC you ask? The SAC is an advisory committee, not a governing body, that advises the principal on school performance, budget priorities and parental engagement. The purpose of the committee is to inform, encourage and provide opportunities for parent and community members to be involved in the planning and evaluation of the school’s instructional program and quality improvement processes. Each SAC is comprised of parents, community members, principals and teachers. Please click here to learn more about SAC.
We need your help!! Field Day is right around the corner and we need volunteers! FIELD DAY --- FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14th Parents, please sign-up to help volunteer for Larkspur Elementary Field Day. Please fill out the volunteer form on Mr. Forbes website.
"Moving Toward Independence"
As we enter our second month of school, we understand how important it is for each student to have a great start to their day! We would like to encourage you to allow your students to line up and walk in with their classmates when the 1st bell rings which will empower them to gain their independence and help them grow as little people. If you are a parent who has a preschooler as well as K-6 students, please check in your preschooler through the exterior Champions door while allowing your older kiddos to line up with their classmates.
Should any family need to come in with your child, we ask that you please sign in at the front desk prior to entering our student hallways and sign out when you leave. Our mornings tend to be very busy at LES and we need to keep all of our security procedures in place. Also, please remember to walk your child into the building if you arrive late. District policy is that you need to sign them in and out after school has already started. Thank you for paying close attention to district policy. We appreciate your participation with us to keep our school safe!
September 15th – Sabercat Stomp
September 17th-20th – Homecoming/Showdown Week
Please remember that there is no school on Monday, September 3rd and Friday, September 21st!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any comments, questions or concerns.
