March Book Madness is a district-wide literacy event designed as an online bracket-style tournament that matches books in one-on-one games.
Students vote individually on the book they like best according to their grade level.
Every time a student votes for a book, their name will be entered in a drawing to win a prize!
Every time a student votes, they will be asked to input their teacher's name. The teacher with the most participants will win a $200.00 Follett book voucher and an ice cream party for their class. One prize will be awarded per grade level. The school library with the most participants will be recognized by the district.
Larkspur PTO wants your to know!!
The PTO has some super fun events coming up and we hope you can join us.
*The PTO wants to get to know YOU! Are you new to the school and finally feeling adjusted to your new routine here? Do you have a kid that’s been here a while but you wanting to know exactly what the PTO does? PLEASE join us for a meeting sometime or find a member and say “hi!” We also LOVE suggestions and new ideas! Are you good at decorating or have an eye for art? Bring us your ideas!!! We are a small, fun group that REALLY cares about all the kids at our school and making sure they have all that they need to succeed. Many of us on the PTO work from home or have flexible hours and would LOVE to meet new people! If you do not know who anyone is on the board, send us an email and start there. We really love our small school and the people and parents that all work together to make it awesome!
*The Boot planning is in FULL swing and we need many helpers to make this event happen! This will be the 22nd year of this annual event and it is always an amazing but much needed fundraiser for our school. In the upcoming weeks we will be looking for people to help with the committees we have such as decorating, set up, clean up, etc. This event is the backbone of the PTO funding so please let us know how you can help. EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS!
*Classroom art projects for The Boot will start next week and we hope your kid(s) come home excited to tell you about them!
The PTO has an “open door” policy for any questions, comments or concerns so please do not hesitate to bring anything to our attention.
Please visit our NEW website! It is designed to be MUCH easier to navigate and is in blog format so you can scroll down and see any information that has been posted recently. The website will also be directly linked to our facebook page so please be sure to like that to stay up to date on all communications. We want to cut back on the amount of information we send you and allow YOU to control the level of information you receive.
