Larkspur Elementary was honored at the District Administrators' meeting last Thursday for receiving the Governor's Distinguished Award from the state of Colorado. The Governor's Award recognizes intermediate student growth as measured by the Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS). Way to go students and staff at LES!!
What learning has taken place the last few weeks?
March 2 was Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers participated in celebrating his big day! Take a quick look to see how students at LES celebrated.

Third grade getting creative with arrays!
5th grade students were given a choice board to demonstrate mastery in adding and subtracting fractions!
Second grade learning about weather!
Intermediate students explored the human body and it's systems and created models to better comprehend these structures. Student's utilized online technology to help them master these concepts.
